FROM DOUBLEJUMP:

MAJOR NEWS:

Here’s our first look at the cast of Netflix’s live-action The Witcher series:

Netflix has released a handful of official photos featuring The Witcher stars Henry Cavill (Geralt of Rivia), Yennefer (Anya Cholatra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) in costume and the series’s logo and tagline.

G2A offers to pay back indie developers back money lost through stolen keys:

In a lengthy post on its official site, the controversial digital game storefront vowed to “pay developers 10 times the money they [lose] on chargebacks” if these companies prove that keys sold through G2A Marketplace were obtained illegally.

This move was announced in response to Mike Rose, CEO of independent game publisher No More Robots, telling consumers to pirate games rather than purchasing them through G2A because “[developers] don’t see a penny either way”.

Following G2A’s response, Rose later clarified that he was referring to the idea that seeing game keys sold at heavily discounted prices on G2A Marketplace devalues games in consumers’ minds. He also highlighted the fact that G2A allegedly did not investigate after knowing that only a handful of people were reselling the majority of keys to No More Robots’ Descenders.

When asked for comment, a G2A spokesperson told GamesIndustry.biz that the company is “actively monitoring the case and will react accordingly.”

Digital Extremes announces some neat Warframe content at TennoCon 2019:

First of all, six years after the game first released, new players will finally be greeted with a cinematic trailer that introduces them to the world of Warframe.

All players can now access the Nightwave: Series 2 and all of its battle pass-like goodies.

The Planes of Duviri is a new enemy faction full of people who hate colours and love mystical mounts…apparently.

The New War is an upcoming story expansion that is set to come out before Empyrean later this year.

Oh, and Digital Extremes is offering a lucky fan US$250,000 toward to help get them into space.
