Currently based in New Zealand, Ruby has enjoyed video games since the early 90s. Her favourite genre tends to be open world RPGs, but she has been known to dabble in everything from city builder sims to first person shooters. By day she works at a mobile game company; by night she’s usually found curled up with her Switch or PC, or posting nonsense somewhere on the internet.
Offering a fun new take on the otome formula, Boyfriend Dungeon is well worth a go if you’re after a dating game with a bit more action.
It originally came out on PlayStation 4 in 2019, but Ruby saw it on PC in 2020 and it was so relatable that it’s her Game of the Year!
It doesn't bring much new content to the table, but Alan Wake Remastered's improved textures and subtle animation enhancements add polish to what still stands up as one of Remedy's best experiences.
It ain't the most compelling adventure, but New Pokémon Snap is a lot of fun to enjoy in short bursts.
