Titanfall Deluxe Edition announced, available now

Electronic Arts and developer Respawn Entertainment have announced that a Deluxe Edition of Titanfall is available now on Windows, and will be available on Xbox One next week.

Only available as a digital purchase, the Deluxe Edition bundles the first-person shooter with its three content expansions, Expedition, Frontier’s Edge and IMC Rising, adding a total of nine maps to the game’s fast-paced, futuristic online multiplayer experience.

The publisher also released the above trailer for the game, in which Respawn community manager Abbie Heppe revealed that over 7 million unique Pilots have played Titanfall since its release in March. Heppe also discussed some of the new features and gameplay updates that have been added to the game post-release, including the Black Market, Titan customisation options and numerous new game modes.

The Titanfall Deluxe Edition is available right now for US$39.99/£33.99 on Origin for Windows, and will be available on November 25 on Xbox One for US$49.99. As of this writing (5:50am), neither EA nor Respawn have revealed what the bundle will cost here in Australia, or what the Xbox One version will cost in Europe, but we’ll be sure to update when that happens.

Those who are wondering if they should pick up this brilliantly-timed collection (think about the number of Xbox Ones that will be bought over the holidays!) can check out Shane’s review of the original game, which he called “a sensational synthesis of tight mechanics, brilliant multiplayer design and organic player invention.”
