Grand Theft Auto V rerelease’s launch dates announced, improvements detailed

Rockstar Games has announced that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V are scheduled to be released worldwide on November 18, with the Windows version of the game delayed to January 27, 2015.

Current GTAV owners will be able to transfer their Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progress to each of the three new versions, with the PS4 and Xbox One iterations featuring an increased player count of thirty players. The developer did not announce a player count figure for the Windows version, but the increase is expected to apply to it too.

Furthermore, Rockstar will gift $100,000 of in-game currency across both the single-player and GTA Online to those who pre-order the title.

In addition to the aforementioned announcements, the developer also released the following screenshots, and confirmed that it has updated the game’s radio stations with “new DJ mixes” and “over 100 additional songs”:

Rockstar Games also confirmed that the rerelease features a number of improvements over the original previous-gen versions including “denser traffic”, “additional wildlife”, “enhanced damage and weather effects”, as well as “new” activities, foliage, vehicles, and weapons.

Moreover, all existing downloadable content for the original release of the game will be made available, though the company did not disclose whether or not purchased content will be brought over to the new versions.

However, returning players will be given access to “exclusive content” such as classic vehicles from the entire series, a new blimp, new activities, and more.
